Did I miss a link with an invite and a password? I haven't seen one, but I see the other threads about keepers and such. Can someone hook me up?

Emails were sent by Yahoo on 8/18. If you were in the league last season, check your email. If you're penso, check your deleted email folder! Or it could be in the spam folder

I guess so but vinman logged in less than two weeks ago. As for the other league, the redneck won it all and he's nowhere in sight. Captain Chaos was 2nd but he moved in last year. I got third. Fourth was "Better Than a 10" but I don't know who that is.
The remaining managers, 4th - 8th, are Leighclay, Brinker, TucsonSteeler and Preacherman.
If any of you four want to join the MGS FFL league, see the
pinned/sticky post
in this forum.

Speaking of trophy cases, it's about time the Jonzrs move to the top of the heap. But I've done no research on players this off season and my two keepers are QBs so that's not looking too likely. I don't depend on the kindness of strangers but blind, sheer luck sometimes smiles on me.

Oh, and I meant to ask, did we ever establish a keeper limit in this league?
In some of the keeper leagues I've been in, they have a 3 or 5 year cap on how long you can keep a specific player. It keeps one manager from bogarding a Peyton Manning or Adrian Peterson for like, ever.

Draft is Fri Sep 2 6:15pm CDT
No, I don't think we've ever discussed the keeper cap idea. I'm open to it if other managers want to consider, but it's too late for this season.

So, do we still want to draft on Fri or delay it till next week to see if anyone who's off the grid gets power back?
Chime in now.
There was some glitch and the Too league didn't draft and Y! rescheduled it to Mon.

Nice try at blocking me out, but I'm back up and running.

I know I've got too much tape out there to try and contend my team isn't led by an 'idiot' behind the helmet....but I was drafting on a smartphone that wouldn't fully open the window. I got the top left quarter of the screen and if/when I needed refreshed I had to close and reload. I'm not sayin it affected anything..that'd be an excuse and we don't make em. Sincerely, Kendall Hunter and Kenny Britt. We can win this thing, bishes.

Gotta say, don't like losing, esp. with the week Rodgers had, going into MNF with the most league points and ~18 lead, but damn, that was one exciting week of FF. Hope to see the Chix in the post-season for some revenge!

FWIW I think 85 percent of all fantasy leagues will be won by Brady, Rodgers or Brees owners, barring injury natch. Those guys are pinballing this year.

I'd like to suggest that the benches be shortened next season, maybe even the lineups by a spot or two. In a 12 team league 8 bench spots is a ton. When there is an injury there is no one worthwhile to pick up.
Thats the reason I suck. Not bad picks.

I agree, short both the benches and the starting lineups, maybe a return to the 1 qb, 2 rb, 2 wr 1 te we started out with. Too many flex positions as it is.

No really though, we can shorten the bench and maybe drop a flex position. Thinking about just 1 keeper too.

Keepers are fine IMO. The supplemental draft more than makes up for it. I'm fine with one or two.

I think the keepers are fine. The great players are all going to be kept or drafted early. I think shortening the benches and possibly the lineups would allow for some more productive roster moves during the season.
According to my calculations if our benches were 4 player shorter my record would be 7-4-1.

I'd be cool with that. If it were an 8 or 10 team league, that many positions would be more viable. But with the potential to start 3 RBs, there aren't enough starters to go around in a 12 team league.
I'm not enthralled with the defensive players; they rarely make any significant impact. But it's no big deal keeping them on.

Proposal: we get rid of one of the W/R positions and 3 bench positions.
That reduces the potential need for RBs and shortens the bench to prevent hording. That way you can get by with 1 RB and there are usually plenty of WRs. Would also consider axing the W/T position if you blood thirsty bastards aren't happy. These are jobs we're talking about people, jobs!
I like having the defensive players and there's plenty of those to go around.

I like having the d players, and I think we should drop one w/r and also the w/t.

One W/r position dropped would be OK. That would give a typical lineup of 3 WRs and 2 RBs. Usually plenty of WRs to go around, so would be OK.
6 bench slots for 11 starters would probably do. Backup QB, RB, WR, injured guy you want to hang onto, D/K/defender, and one flex slot.
Shorter bench than that and you may have major turnover on bye weeks.
