Legursky wins job at RG:

I thought he was solid last year and exceeded my expectations in replacing Pouncey, but I'm surprised by this seeming 180 on Hills.

I'm only surprised because he's the only backup at center and by starting at guard, he's more likely to be injured. I think the Steelers were hoping that someone else would've stepped up and claimed the job.

I'll agree WRT Legs being the only C backup, and the fact that he's smaller at the POA. But he has experience at G and C, and Hills doesn't. Maybe Hills wins the job midseason?

Not to worry, James Harrison is the emergency, backup center.

This doesn't surprise me. It was desperation to try and utilize Hills as guard. He's a high-round draft bust at this point. You can pull free agents off the street to achieve what he's contributing right now. Good for Legursky. He's an over-achiever, and he's got a great football name, Legursky.
Apparently, Essex is in front of James H. on the depth chart as emergency center; coach's decision based solely on long-snapping skillz.

I don't know if I'd call a R4 pick a "high-round" pick.
But so far, what he done?

True. You got me.
But he was our first OL guy taken that year if memory serves, thereby the hopes were highest for him to help the line from that draft class. If my memory doesn't serve, then, frankly, I don't have a leg to stand on.

Well, until Pouncey and Gilbert, we hadn't bothered to use high-round picks on OL for the better part of a decade, so it is all relative.
