Great show. Annie Clark shreds on guitar, sings great and looks beautiful. Her presence commanded the stage. She jammed and banged her head. Great songs, tight band. Awesome show. If she comes to your town, go see her.
And I picked a good Rangers game to miss, sheesh.

And the Kessler is a great venue. Very small, has a little history - at least for Dallas. There were a few hundred there. We had balcony seats. Comfortable and a great view. Yes, I'm old.

The wife and I were discussing St. Vincent. The band consisted of two kb's, drums and Annie on guitar. It was a very bassy (?) mix, would have like to hear a little more guitar in there. Hard to categorize the music. There's an indie element, contemporary, a little industrial, some techno in the mix, sometimes in the same song. But it always came back to rock-n-roll, and generally guitar-centric.
And while the albums are good, the live performance is the way to experience St. Vincent's music. The energy comes through and it's as if there's some other dimension to the music.
Don't know man, guess I'm just a sucker for live music.
