This is simply absurd:

I understand Big East had to do something, but we now have San Diego, Boise, South Florida, and Connecticut in the same conference.  What the hell, add Hawaii while you're at it.

I'm guessing the average distance between schools is over 1000 miles.

And I love this quote.  It's Pitino, so he has to spin, but seriously?

OK, Boise, sure.  Houston, maybe is OK.  BUt in the last decade you've lost Pitt, Syracuse, WVA, and oh by the way, VA Tech and Miami  (and BC, but not huge loss).  No comparison.  Big East should lose automatic BCS bid.

They need a contract with ABC for TV rights.  That way they can recycle the old Wide World of Sports intro:  "Spanning the globe..."
