You might wanna take heed.  It's a pain in the arse as one must then fix all associated devices on the network, but it's a one time deal.

On unsecured networks Google was scanning them and storing info about them.  But even on secured ones, they were keeping the ssid info.  I think basically, recording that yup, there's a network named xxx plus whatever else they could gleen - probably more than we know.
