Polyphonic Spree 9th Annual Holiday Extravaganza @ Lakewood Theater in Dallas

Wow!  What a show, we're making this a family tradition for as long as they keep doing it.  I plan to get some photos up and maybe do a little review.

Thumbnail - show started at 7pm with a local chick tween act, We're Not Dudes.  We missed most of that but when we came in they were playing some Charlie Brown music, can't name the tune.  They jammed it up though, I enjoyed it.

Santa was walking around and posing with kids, it was a family-friendly affair.  

Polyphonic Spree did a set of Christmas songs from 8-9pm.  To begin they had people bring up their little ones, there were about 50 kids on stage.

After that there was a group of tap-dancing grannies from the Denton Senior Center.  They hoofed it up to tunes the DJ spun.

And finally the Polyphonic Spree rock set ran from 10pm-12:15am.  Tremendous.  Tim DeLaughter is a truly great front man, high energy, great banter, helluva showman.

I'd have to throw down a six-pack of Jolt to stay awake until midnight or later, lol.

Me and Mrs. BV need to start doing more fun things like that.  She is introverted and i'm just getting crotchety.

My old-fat-guy legs were sore the next morning cause we didn't sit the whole time, the place was hopping. 

Yeah man, y'all should get out and see what your area has to offer.  For the last couple of years we've been making a point to get out of the house.  It's been mostly to see live music but there's the occasional museum.  Been planning on a play but haven't gotten around to it yet.  There's a surprising number of theaters around here, more than I would have guessed.
