Roethlisberger's status uncertain for Saturday's game.

Coach Mike Tomlin has said he never considered removing Roethlisberger from Monday night’s 17-point loss to the 49ers.

Again, coaching decision here.  Hopefully it's just a smokescreen from the coaching perspective to give Browns more to think about.  And I'm sure Ben feels if he wants to play, he'll play.  Why not?  It's the way it's always been.

Tomlin hopefully has the ability to sit him down.

And I saw a couple comments on that column that Cowher would have handled it differently.  Not so sure about that.  When Ben came back post-motorcycle accident, I think he played too early.  And for sure he singlehandedly lost a game against Raiders (don't remember year - might have been same one) when he came back a week too soon from a concussion.

It's not always as easy as it seems to sit your franchise down.  Had he played like he did in second half the previous game, this isn't a discussion.  But he didn't and should have been pulled from SF game, and should sit for two meaningless games left.
