I think he's one of the few people who would be able to get away with going to play for another team and not get the backlash that other players would get from Pittsburgh fans. I think most fans would agree that Ward IS the Steelers no matter what uniform he's currently wearing. The'd still want to see Harrison lay him out across the middle if we were playing against his new team, but unlike other players, they'd hope that he gets up right after the hit.

Maybe, but...imagine him wearing a purple (96%) and black #86.

Not if Belichick gets his way.

Not much of an excuse for an article.

Should have cut him last year. 381 yards in 16 games, 2 arrests, 1 dancing with the stars bullshit. Thank you for the memories, Hines. Just doesn't fit anymore. Can only play the slot. Even at the minimum he wouldn't have cover kicks or been valuable on returns.

If LaCanfora is any indicator, Ward won't be back.

As mentioned before, base for a player with his years of service is about 925K.

Anybody out there have a problem with Ward being paid that amount?  IMO, short of bringing in another rook to take his place, anybody they sign off the scrap heap for WR depth (i.e. Cotchery in '11) would probably cost about the same.

And, of course, there's the issue of that player not being Hines Fucking Ward.

Colbert says Steelers still undecided.

Not surprising.  Between Arians retiring/getting the axe; Khan getting looked up by St. Louie; OC search and hire; and all the restructure work needed to be done to reduce the cap number, theys been bizzay.

Gotta think they get it done sooner or later...right?

According to Hines' facebook page;

 "If you're really taking the time to look - Here's a quick hint - I'll be working with the NFL Network:) Watch for it - Gotta go - HINES #bestdressed"

The lead story on the 11 pm news was Hines and Sally Wiggin interviewing people on the red carpet.
