Saw Ben on Halloween (pre-Milledgeville)

Love to see us get Boise State's Chris Peterson, but have a feeling it will be Fichtner.

WE'll see.  Still in shock.

Chris Peterson just signed a new deal and with Boise State moving to the Big East, don't you think he will be looking for a head coaching gig somewhere big time (NCAA) sometime soon...rather than an O coordinator position at the next level?

Otherwise, I agree.  Peterson would be a great addition to this team especially if he can incorporate some of the elements of his spread offense into our pro style sets.

One of the articles said it was unlikely Fitchner would be promoted.  It also said the two times they went outside the organization for OC was Gilbride and someone else
(i'm well into the margarita bin this evening so it escapes me) and they didn't make the playoffs with either one of them.

What about Spagnuolo, er wwhatever the fuck his name is.  Wasn't he the premier oc before he led the Rams into the ditch?

I wouldn't say I've been *missing* it, Bob.

Spags was a D Coordinator, just signed with Saints.

FWIW, Wexell thinks it might be Caldwell, since he and Tomlin coached together and the timing of BA's retirement came just after Irsay canned Caldwell.  Dunno. dontknow

I've been reading the articles about Art II wanting us to run the ball again.

I don't care if we run it or throw it, as long as we aren't telegraphing which one it is directly to the defense.

I hope not. Count me in the camp that thinks the real OC of the Colts has been Manning for the past decade.  Unless they bring Manning in as QB coach as well, of course.

What about GB QB coach Tom Clements?  Didn't he have a stint for the Steelers?

GB's OC is now HC in Mia, so scuttle is Clements may move into GB's OC spot.

OK?

That is not OK.  Get him back in here.  Where would you rather live, in Green Bay or not Green Bay?  See.
