The deal's getting done.  I'm moving my odds from 63/37 to 70/30.  The FO said it was their top off-season priority, they continue to get restructuring done, we've got Wallace talking to the media about going to other teams (posturing for leverage), and this deal will get done before 3/5.

I'm going to say it's wrapped up on 3/1, 5 years @ $38M, $8.5 guaranteed.

I agree in general.

Only thing that irks me ever so slightly is that Wallace said he would consider playing for the Patriots.  I know it's irrational but it just... bugs me.

I think he might have intentionally dropped the reference to the Gay Satans just to irk Colbert and Rooney.  If it would piss us off, imagine how much they'd hate it.

It's also scary.

Can you imagine Brady throwing to Wallace and Welker in the double TE? Ugh.

When is the last time Ballachimp gave up a first round draft pick?

Ben's recent restructure saves roughly $8mill in cap room next season according to PFT.  Add that to the inevitable restructure/cuts of Ward, Hampton, Smith, Farrior and Foote and things are starting to look up.
