After the most recent restructure, Colon, Steelers are only/still 8 million over the projected 120 M cap.

That sounds like a lot considering the number of restructures they have done and coupled with the fact they haven't made any offers to their FA's.  Plus whatever they need for the draft class.

Anyone know how much they need for draftee's and undraftees?  5 to 8 M?

If that's the case, then they need to clear another 8m to get down to the cap then another 10 M for FA's and rooks?  That sounds like a lot.

I wouldn't say I've been *missing* it, Bob.

IMHO this seems like much to do about nothing

Snacks - 8 mil cap hit - restructure or cut
Hines - 4.6 mil cap hit - see above
Larry Foote - 3.6 mil cap hit - cut
Aaron Smith - 2.9 mil cap hit - cut
Kemoeatu - 5.2 mil cap hit - restructure or cut

Seems like they just need to make some hard decisions...not to mention if Mike Wallace leaves that clears up anoth 2.7 mil...not that I want this to happen. There is no way with the salary cap where it is now we can afford to have Wallace, Brown and Sanders---too much $$$.

According to Florio, Pittsburgh's 2012 cap number currently stands at 120.5MIL, which is obviously right around the projected 2012 number.

Will be interesting to see if there's any truth to the rumors that the 2012 number is actually lower than 120MIL.

Nothing like waiting for the last minute...
