I'm going to be upstate until sunday, but I hope yinz will fill me in on this.

Unlike recent years, its seems like most of the NHL playoff games will be available on basic cable with the exception of the NHLNet games.  NBC, NBC Sports Channel (the old Versus), and CNBC will be picking up the slack.

Yeah, hoping to find a bar in driving distance.

Otis will be fined for suggesting that there are unflattering things to be said about the Pens.

We played like the Washington Capitals tonight. What the fuck?

Their first goal shouldn't have counted, and that interference call on Orpik was bullshit if you ask me.

I hope this was a wake up call. Can't play like pussies and expect to win in the playoffs.

The Pens' D is the antithesis of the Steelers'; a pussified bunch.

Bylsma stopped playing our third defensive pairing, which in my honest opinion, was the only group that could separate their man from the puck last night.

Paul Martin...what a bitch.  Bad angles to the puck.  And played a game reminiscent to Antonio Cromartie's playoff masterpiece with the Chargers and against the Jets a few years back.

Disgusted. Absolutely fucking disgusted. I've never been more ashamed of a Penguins team in recent memory. Someone call Rico Fata and Joe Melichar, we need some professional hockey players in Pittsburgh.

Holy fuck, these goalies suck. Why does Bryz even use a stick? It's not like he ever has it on the ice in front of him.

I hope the winner of this series enjoys their 1st round victory, because with shit goaltending like this, that should be the end of the line.

This is the worst the Pens have played, in what, 5 years?  10 years?  15 years? I put money into playoff tickets one year, first round against the Habs, 96 or 97, one of the Kevin Constantine years.  That's the last time I felt so cheated.

I still blame this epic fail on Shero and his inability to find a decent backup goalie.  It was crystal clear that MAF was already starting to fray around the edges before the deadline.  And the utter lack of discipline is who's fault?   Bylsma's?  It's one thing losing to the phlys in the playoffs (we get ours, they get theirs) but it's another thing losing to the phlys and coming out of it the goonier side.  Not acceptable.

Wow, who knew that if MAF could put up 40 minutes of scoreless hockey, the Pens might actually win a game?

Totally.  Despres is better already.  Strait might even be better already.

It's going 6 for sure. At that point all the pressure will be on the Flyers to end it at home.

I'd say 50/50 that we'll see a game 7.

I'm just hoping Bernie can handle the 55 extra minutes of action.

Rather than Bernie, the phlys should go "Weekend at Bernie's" and prop Pelle Lindberg's corpse up in net.

I'm not so sure, especially given the fact that the Pens are something like 1-5 in the playoffs at Consol Energy [yawn] Center and that Fleury was doing everything in his power to play like a dog last night.  But sweet Lord baby Jesus, I hope you are right.

I just don't see a playoff team losing 3 straight at home. Same goes for the Canucks, unless they put Luongo back in.

Lots of tough calls for game 5.  Obviously we will insert Neal and Adams back into the lineup, but after that much is unclear:

Do we stick with Fleury?  Yes. But he is pulled after the 4th goal.

Do we go back to Martin?  Hell no.  If not, will it be Depres, Strait, or Lovejoy that fills his spot?  Depres

Should we continue double shifting Malkin and Crosby?  Yes  Do we play them together? Yes  How do we reconcile this with Neal coming back into the lineup?  Malkin-Crosby-Kunitz, Cooke-Staal-Kennedy, Neal-Malkin-Tangradi, Sullivan-Crosby-Dupuis, ...spelled with Adams, Vitale.

I would like to see Tangradi dress again tomorrow night.

Effing sweet.  Great game by the flower, great game all around.  I still can't help but wonder though, maybe the Canucks would have given us Corey Schneider for Paul Martin.

I figured it would get to six when down 3-0.  Too much pride and talent to get swept, then had home ice for game 5.  Have no clue on game 6 though.

Pens totally lost their composure for about 2 1/2 games; hopefully they keep it.

Flyers have 11 PP goals and 3 SH.  Disgusting.  Pens have to stay clean to have a shot.

The phlys came to play and we did not.  I honestly cannot remember the last time we won a meaningful 12 o'clock game.

Hate to say it, but I guess I'm rooting for Ottawa now in the East?  Or Florida?

Agreed.  I hope to see some changes made on the back-end this off-season.  Would be delighted to see us bring in a #1b type of goalie, but I don't think this is likely because we are already overpaying for that position.  Also, the special teams play was horrid.

Ottawa, Florida, St. Louis, Nashville, Phoenix, and Vancouver all the way.

And LA.  Ever think you'd need sunscreen for a hockey road trip?

True story.  And now that you mention it, if the Flyers were to make the Finals, it would be a beautiful thing to see LA, Mike Richards, and Jeff Carter beat them.
