Dirt Dawson, HOF Class of 2012!

And it was Adams.  There you go.  Hope he doesn't suck like everyone says he does.  Surprised they picked the "issues" guy, must have said all the right things in the interviews.

Oh, cute little Steelers fan in the crowd there.

WTF is up with that.

Highly rated by Mayock et al., but come on.  SO inconsistent.  SO THC-laden.  SO fucking weak and stupid.  But other than that, a dandy pick.

I'll say this: if he can keep his head on straight and get a little stronger, could work out just fine.  Odds on that?  Marvel got nabbed with smoke and all.  So we'll see.

Right off, not happy though.  One for two.

He's a massive dude.  Kuegler must believe he can do something with the guy.

OK, I just read the tweeted summary of Colbert's presser. The kid called the Steelers, requested face to face meeting. Was told unequivocally that he was OFF our draft board.
Met whatever stipulations we laid down to get back on our draft board.

Mean anything to you guys?

I know he'll have LOTS to prove. But remember that Tone had issues & he helped win us a Super Bowl.
This kid helps us win a Super Bowl, he can smoke all the weed he wants, as long as he doesn't get caught til after said Super Bowl.

Then we can cut his head off....

Boom or bust pick. If he gets his shit together our line will be sweet. My question is why not Massie?  Guess the FO can stop dodging the questions about drafting oline to protect BBR.

" we take so many gaddam guys from Ohio State. Oooh, excuse meeee....THEE Ohio State" - my dad

Maybe Adams will be great. If he plays like Flozell the year he was here I'd be fine with it.

When I worked for the Steelers I worked the second day of the draft. Was in the war room. One wall had all these computer printed label stickers with the player's name, school and I think some code number. They were sorted by position rankings. I'd take the label and put it on a running consecutive pick board and write the team and round of who took the guy (ie: CHI 4, PHIL 5B, etc).  Who cares, I know. Point is there was another board on the main wall with the Steelers' graded top 200 (or 250?). When I started the morning the Steelers highest ranked guy(or pretty damn close anyway.....I remember Tremain Mack was a guy ranked really high that everyone kept joking about. Not sure how he graded high in the first place if everyone was shitting on him in retrospect) was a troubled WR/KR named Mike Adams. Played at Texas and killed it in workouts IIRC. He was like 65th on the board. The Steelers drafted guys ranked far lower as the rounds passed on. It got to round 7 and the attitude was like "fuck it, we have two second rounders, just take him". I always felt bad for him when camp started next year and we became sort of friends. He was kind of an idiot and I don't think he made the team. Seems like he was around a while.

Deja vu.
