A long way off but if Burfict is there in the 6th, take a chance...another boom or bust pick
Ok I know this comes from the guy that thought Limas Sweed would be great...

In no special order:
RB Chris Polk, RB Robert Turbin. Both great values, can take over for Mendy.
OT Bobby Massie. Can take over for Adams when he punks out.
NT Josh Chapman.
S Markelle Martin.
ILB Sean Spence, ILB James-Michael Johnson.
Buncha WRs, Childs, McNutt, don't have a list together. Mo Sanu. Chris Givens. Juron Criner.
Also don't have a handle on DEs and OLBs. 5-T Brandon Thompson is in. Ronnell Lewis might be in as an OLB/ILB hybrid, had him later as a pure ILB but could be a swing man.
No QB or TE as yet.

Pierce was not the best RB on the board for the Rats to move up for. Obviously think we're going RB. If so, make it Polk or Turbin. Got a feeling about Turbin, but both are very, very good.
Chapman ain't a bad option either.

Quoth the Finny:
Quote
Miami OLB Sean Spence[/u], 5’11”, 231#, 4.71, 12 reps, 33 ½” VJ, 9’11” BJ, ranked 82nd, gets flagged for those 12 reps but lifted in Indy with a shoulder bruise and reportedly can lift around 20 reps. He’s also closer to David Lavonte size than Bobby Wagner or Mychal Kendricks, and sometimes it really is just a matter of 10 or 15#. But I’m hesitant to disqualify Spence even with all that. What Spence has is football ability. His read and react, his nose to sniff out plays and anticipate where the ball is going, plus production and blitzing, all add up to make Spence an intriguing mid-round prospect. Pittsburgh was well represented at Miami’s pro day, and Spence has to be a guy they were looking at.
Borderline size, speed, but everything else you could want from an ILB has Spence a R3 guy for me.
Spence is exempted from the Carter Rule because his eval is based on football skills, with measurables much less part of the overall grade.
Really, he's about Farrior-sized, great instincts and playmaking. The best fall-back past Wagner, Kendricks, and Davis.
DDC: A+
Adams: Floor - F, Ceiling - A, so INC.
Spence: B+, most will say worse, fuck 'em

54.3% chance Spence is a bust

Spence was the best player in a underachieving Miami team. Solid leader who has a knack for the ball. Don't let the strength numbers fool you as he was hurt when the bench press was initially taken. More like a 20 rep guy. More importantly tremendous football instincts.

Spence was one of the sickest safeties in the country as far as I remember. His instincts to FLY to first read lead them to move him over. Sometimes he over pursues. Very Timmons like. Great upside from what I have seen.

I know I'm a chick, but seriously, I've been VERY happy with this draft so far.
I may be wrong, but when was the last time THAT happened???
And we got a UM kid to boot? Size? They bitched about Troy's size too, IIRC. How's that been working out?

They say he has superburb eyeball burst with excellent shoulder to wig ratio. Great ability to lift his feet and place them properly for running, jumping, leaping, catching, rolling and sneaking. Innate ability to appear small, be small but then explode with maximum local area penetration.

From steelers.com:
Spence is the first Hurricane to record 100 tackles in consecutive seasons (111 in 2010 and 106 in 2011) since 2003 (Jonathan Vilma made 133 stops in 2002 and 127 in 2003)…Is just one of six Hurricanes to ever record 100 tackles at least twice in a career.
