Chest shot? Save the brain for the lawsuit?
Goodell is the captain of the Titanic?

Im thinking Roids. Man was insanely jacked when he retired.
Next guess is concussion-related brain trauma though.

Obviously couldn't live with his cheater spygate Patriot self. I hope you're happy, John Harbaugh!
Would've been nice dead pool points for me.
Goodell just fined him $50,000 for that shot to the head.

Following Bountygate, Belichick is systematically tying up loose ends...just in case.

JC, another suicide?? That sucks.
As if Goodell needed any more ammo.
Sometime during this generation, you're going to see more contact in the
Lingerie League
than in the NFL.

100 Players suing the NFL.
Have to imagine this only gets bigger, begging the questions: are Goodell's actions WRT player safety too late in coming? Can we envision a day when the NFL as we know it cannot exist? And if the league goes away, what would happen to pro (and collegiate) football?

I don't think it will come to that. I think the owners will set up a fund to cover any future legal fees, then, beginning sometime soon, players will have to sign a waiver to any further legal action against the league if they want to play.
'Course, I'm not a lawyer so I don't know the ins and outs of this kind of thing.

Definitely isn't going to come to that. Too much money in the game for the owners AND the players. What Goodell is doing now is positioning the NFL so that it can better fight future lawsuits that may be brought by current players. And as a matter of evidence, it will be difficult for the plaintiffs in the on-going lawsuits to point to any of the subsequent remedial measures taken by the NFL as evidence of nonfeasance in the first place. So really no harm no foul as far as Goodell is concerned. Just get ready for an immensely pussified league.
