Merle Haggard @ Billy Bob's in Fort Worth

Billy Bob's is large and I reckon deserving of the moniker, "Worlds Largest Honky Tonk."

Great show.  Short but sweet.  Merle's son (name?) opened and did about 4 songs with the Strangers backing which featured Merle's youngest son on lead guitar.  Including Merle the show was just under 90 minutes.

We had a table so I was able to get most of the set list down.  Missed a few towards the end but in exchange got some on video.  I'll post those to YouTube later if the audio isn't too distorted.  Still need to figure out how people record live shows with their phone and have the audio um, audible.  They ended with Okie From Muskogee.  When he introduced it he said they don't play it anymore but since there were some Okies who'd followed them around to a few shows they decided to play it.

I hope to do a better review later but today it's my son's bday pool party.  Just finished grilling and stuff.

For pics and vids you should be able to view these.  If you're prone to seizure then skip the videos, that's some shaky camera work.  And the sound is no better, sigh.  Gotta figure out a way to reduce the levels when recording video and the audio source is loud.
