They kicked our asses all over the place. And that whoever Porter is in their secondary basically beat us by himself all night.
Not a great way to start the fucking season.

That was not pretty.  Manning got us figured out 2nd quarter, couldn't get a stop after that.

Thought the offense would control the game with those 3 drives mid-second to early fourth quarter, but Denver adjusted and we didn't.

Can't believe TOP was only 35 minutes considering we had it 14+ minutes of the 3rd.

Not a great start to the season, but better than last year's start. Not having Harrison and Clark hurt. The OL still blows. No run game. Not a cohesive O gameplan... Sounds like another 12-4 season. Lol.

Woodley was invisible tonight.

And despite the woes, we still had a chance to win.  But that INT was unexpected and disappointing.  Ben looked like a rookie on that one - stared down the reciever, saw the coverage, and thought he could get it past the DB with arm strength.

Well, 15 more games - long way to go.  Slow starts are not uncommon for the Steelers.  Neither are early bye weeks - maybe not a bad thing this time.  Also helps we only have 1 division game before week 10.

but Denver adjusted and we didn't.

Another game, another opponent making the necessary adjustments and us not.

I was thinking this morning that the Steelers should just script two one-half game plans every game. Even if the first half goes perfectly well, implement the "second-half script." You know the other team is going to figure out how to stop the offense or kill the defense - it's just a matter of time. You also know that Tomlin, et al won't/can't adjust to opponents' adjustments.

On another note, I thought Ben looked good on third down most of the night, but looked pedestrian the rest of the game (especially on what should have been an easy TD throw to Miller). Also, was it me or did the Steelers/Ben look pretty nonchalant on that last drive, given they were down by two scores and there was less than two minutes to play?

Not that it ended up mattering, but didn't the game clock lose about half a minute when they gave Tomlin the challenge?

I didn't notice that.  Another ill-advised challenge, too.
