Vick has sucked on the road. I think the Iggles win over the Giants works to our psych advantage. Pola and Harrison are practicing, and it looks good for Mendy to return. Hopefully the mental errors are being corrected. Still so angry over the Oakland game I could shit barbed wire. Hate to say, this is close to must-win with us 1-2 and the Bungs and Ratz at 3-1. I know we have a "soft" end to our schedule, but same was the case when we "unleashed hell."
Quit being so fucking fat and complacent. Play some motherfucking Steeler ball.

So I turned on something called NFL AM because I couldn't find Counting Cars or Swamp People.
Five minutes in, a pair of talking heads take turns debating whether the addition of #43, #92 and #34 will turn it around for the Steelers. The first guy...whatever. The second guy, "defense is not the problem for the Steelers - offense is the problem. They need #34 more than Troy & Harrison".
And we're back to a re-run of Mecum Auctions.

3rd in QB rating and first in third downs...our offense is definitely the problem

Three penalties in a row? Lucky to get to the punt. And another penalty flag. I guess it cannot get more brutal than this, i.e., nowhere to go but up.

For once Ben leads a WR perfectly and AB cannot pull it down. Dropped TD.

Jebus, Cotchery tripped over his own feet, tackled himself on the way to a CERTAIN TD.

Have to take the timeout on first down from the ten rather than waste a down on the spike. It gives you three shots at the endzone. Hurt us there and will eventually cost us a game.

It's gonna be hard to win in this league going forward. Goodell, and the new rules have legislated the Steeler Way out of Steeler Football. Their entire identity has been ripped out from under them from the league. How do we compensate for that?

I almost jinxed us. Was on the road, turned the game on early third wehn we were up 10-0, just in time for Philly's first TD drive. Not much good happened between then and the GWFG drive.
Mendenhall definitely was a bright spot. Maybe fresh legs, dunno. Maybe Redman does work better as 2nd guy. Even his runs looked better. One game anyway - see where the trend is.
What happened to Troy? Really starting to wonder how much he has left.
Pass protection looked pretty decent for us anyway. No 2nd half sacks?
Looked like a highly questionable helmet to helmet call. Was it just me or did the WR fake being knocked out to draw a flag? Looked like he hopped up unharmed after about 5 seconds.

Sweet win, even if it didn't result in a cover. For me the best part of the game was the use of #34 out on swings. I have been hammering this drum for years and it looks like indeed, Haley has finally taken my advice.

When DDC comes back, fat fucking Willie "Impacted" Colon gotta go. That guy sucks. Fuck, we should put Legursky in there.
Of course, it was a road game so you can understand all his fucking false starts.
Timmons comes alive, finally. Now we just need an ILB to play next to him; yes, our "best" defensive player Larold Foote looked
that
silly one on one against Shady for the
open field tackle
touchdown. Worilds is actually showing some ability to rush the passer. Woodley, don't get too fat or complacent.
Not sure which irks me more, the drops or the uncalled DPIs. Both, I guess.
Good to see Mendy run without hesitation. Practice some fucking ball security tho, son.
Couple of other notes: anyone notice that DL actually inserted Steve McClendon and Cam Heyward in a bit more? And that they got penetration that Casey seemed to lack? I'd add Keisel but he had an a'ight day.
Much as I think Mundy sucks, he couldn't avoid the helmet contact on that (clean) hit.

Didn't see anything from Woodman...before or after the injury. His absence seemed like an afterthought to Aikman and whoever it was that was doing play-by-play, "Steelers lost Troy...and Woodley with a hamstring..."
No additional detail. No shots of him on the sideline. There were at least two of Polamalu after his injury.

Didn't see that either. Maybe Butler was gently reminding Mr. Woodley that his fat ass came into camp in
shitty condition yet again
the best shape of his life, yet, inexplicably, he's not been the pass-rushing terror we would expect of him. Harrison, in one game back, applied as much pressure as Woodley did in the previous 3. FFS, Jason fucking WORILDS did as much as Woodley did in the previous 3. I like Wood, but hate his 6-week vacations in the beginning of the season.
Perhaps, reminded of this, Mr. Woodley deferred to Coach Butler with a polite
Point taken, good sir!

Running back Rashard Mendenhall was able to run for 5.8 yards per carry, and the protection they offered Roethlisberger was priceless.
That came after Steelers line coach Sean Kugler ranted at his men prior to a practice last week.
“He said he was embarrassed that we were ranked No. 32 in rushing in the league and that we should be embarrassed, too,” Colon said.
“We’re talking about the Steelers, not the Saints.
We’re supposed to be able to run the ball. We were responsible for that ranking, we had to own up to it and we had to do something about it.
“I like to think we did.”

Glen Quagmire: WHOA! Transvestite! Back off! Wait a sec, pre-op or post-op?
Transvetite: Pre-op.

Chicken and egg argument. Better OL play? Addition of Mendy? Bad rush D by Philly?
Still, we almost tripled our rushing output. So let's keep that shit up, mmmkay?
