Harbaugh most hated in San Fran...after win

Bizzarre ending. SF up 7 late. Seattle has 4th and long deep in own end. Throw for near first down, but just short. Penalty in end zone would give SF safety, 9 point lead, and the ball. Instead, Harbaugh declines the penalty, runs out the clock for final 7 point margin.
The problem? Line is 7.5 (at least according to Yahoo). If that was Vegas line, how much fan money just got lost?

Inexplicable tactic. Let's see, we'll give you the ball and a 7 pt lead or we'll give you the ball and a 9 pt lead ...
So, was there an explanation from Harbaugh? Although, I guess it does matter how much time was left. No, now that I think about it, if he was able to run out the clock with certainty, e.g., not enough time outs for SEA, then he did the right thing. Why risk some mistake on the free kick?

Think the line ended up being -9 or -9.5 by gametime. Vegas killed.
Good job at clock management by Captain Cornhole. Apparently, it's a dying art in today's NFL.

Speaking of lines, having never bet for real on a game I have a question: if you bet a game (or a horse race) at one line and the line changes, do you get the odds/line at the time you place the bet or are you stuck with the final line for better or worse?

i heard it was 7.5 and they dint cover.
I guess he was avoiding a fumble receiving safety punt or on-side kick on safety kick-off. Makes sense since they could kickoff and on-side kick it.

I wouldn't say I've been *missing* it, Bob.

Don't know how it works for the ponies, but for game lines, you get whatever the line happens to be when you place your wager.

Correct. I guess it was just the local guys that had it at 9. Glad they did!
Scared me off.
