Ryan Clark is the best and most consistent player on defense this year.  Game in, game out, he has been a guy to hit hard and provide good coverage.

Couldn't agree more.  It's time Ryan Clark received his due as the best free agent signing in the last 10.. 15.. years?  Kevin Greene?  Who else?

Farrior, definitely.  Hartings?

Still remember the outcry when they singed Clark to replace Hope and how Troy's production was going to suffer because of the loss.

Not.

He was traded for a Day Two draft pick, I believe.

I'd say Pittsburgh made out in that deal.

Didn't Farrior actually win a DPOY?

Clark has been here 7 years, and was only with the Redskins before that, correct? You should have blasted Smizik.

Troy and JH bring the noise from an energy standpoint. But for overall leadership, Ryan Clark is the pick here.

Clark played a coupla years with the Giants before the Skins, IIRC.

I believe Farrior won the DPOY the same year I got a MacArthur for my Oscar winning documentary about the struggles of writing my pulitzer winning novel.
