This kind of surprises me.
The Steelers have returned to their roots with this physical style of football, which makes them more balanced and stops pass-rushers from teeing off on Roethlisberger (he's only been sacked 17 times in eight games after suffering 40 sacks last season).
Soooo, projecting out sacks thru the end of the season, the total would be 34 vs 40 last year. Thats a difference of 6 over the course of the season, which is approx 1 less sack every 2.5 games. Seems like the relatively few # of sacks this year would make for a greater desparity when comparing to last year.
Maybe it seems like so much less because they are running twice as many plays and he is getting hit, i dunno, 6 times per game instead of 15 to 20.
