I really don't know how they can sing  Plax.  They also need to sing a QB which means they have to cut 2 current players.  Maybe Plax replaces Gilreath?  More experience, but I figure Tomlin would play the guy they have had on the roster all year so far.  Plus, did they already add DeCastro to the roster or is that coming up in the next week or two?

If that hasn't happened yet, then they need to cut 3.  Maybe wait and see how bad Charlie gets hurt.  If not, put Lefty on IR?  My vote would be to IR Mendenhall.


EDIT - I forgot about Cotchery.  Maybe he's hurt bad enough to IR.

Cotchery has some cracked ribs too.  Possible they IR Lefty and Cotchy and sing Plax and one of the QBs.  When DDC comes back Kelvin Beachum can go back to the practice squad.

If they think Lefty or Cotchy can come back, maybe they release someone like DeMarcus van Dyke, or send Gilreath back to the PS as well.

They'll figure it out.
