I don't know what the problem is. Lack of fundamentals? Not enough situational reps?
Simply overlooking lesser foes, devoting more gameplanning to the big fish?
Winnar...I think.

Tomlin sucks. I can't believe he let Rivers convert 80% on third down.
/sarcasm
I did think the two "onsides" kicks were absolute abortions, though. That's on Tomlin.

Were those even onside kick attempts?

I actually couldn't tell wtf they were supposed to be. The entire bar was baffled.

Looked like a Golf Channel chipping contest.
When was the last time we recovered an onside kick?

Tomlin sucks. Bill Stewart 2.0.
The NFL is one of the most coaching-driven leagues in all of sport. Putting players in the right place is what it's all about. From what I'm told, the pros rarely say 'he made a great play.' When you and I see a 'great play,' more often than not, it is the player doing what he should be doing because his coach positioned him well. Pros reserve 'he made a play' only for times when a player does something nasty outside of the scheme.
Tomlin not only seems to suck at this part of football coaching, but his teams have no identity, no passion, no sense of urgency, no situational awareness (hi, if the football is in your end zone and there hasn't been a whistle, kick it out of the fucking end zone and save five points) and no ability to stay healthy. Given the regular occurrence - and much more regular than other teams - of the latter, it has to be on strength and conditioning, or lack thereof.
Really, everything about Tomlin and his teams' outputs uncannily mirror Bill Stewart (may he rest in peace) and his underachieving Mountaineer teams.

Question is, you get to play God, you can replace Tomlin with the twirl of the magic wand: who do you replace him with?
Andy Reid? Norv Turner? Nick Saban?
TBH, how many NFL coaches are better than Tomlin right now?

Dude, do you not follow history? Dana Holgorson will be hired as assistant head coach, Tomlin will start some bullshit rumors about him and then get fired. Bill Stewart, my friend. Bill Stewart.

Vince Lombardi, but he turns back into a corpse at midnight.
