rule change

Ok I know there is no game thread up because of any lack of desire for the ending of this craptacular season. However, I wanted to post this somewhere, and here was better than no where. When Cleveland took the double personal fouls on the extra point. They did so with the knowledge that worst case, they get the ball at their own 20. I don't know of any NFL caliber kickers would would't put it into the stands from there. And yes, I know you could onside or squib kick it, but most likely, the coach is gonna tell the kicker to knock it out of the stadium. So what if, instead of being inforced on the kickoff before the kick, enforce it after the kick. Enforcing it that way would most definitely stop the stupid shit that people can do in that situation. No touchdown, or instead of starting at the 20 on a touchback, you are starting at the 5.

I agree ytown, it's not much of a deterrent. And PT is a vag.

That's a reasonable suggestion.
On the subject of rule changes from a different game...this stuff of calling unsportsmanlike conduct on a challenge flag after a score is crazy. The Lions did it and they never reviewed it, said the penalty negated the ability to review. Packers did it yesterday and they basically got away with it, TD and 15-yd penalty before they kicked off.

That rule is just ridiculous.
Having said that, if the coaches are too dense to know that a TO or scoring play will be automatically reviewed, it's their own fault if they throw the red flag. It's not rocket science.

Looks like you've been missing a lot of work lately.
I wouldn't say I've been *missing* it, Bob.
