Lewis’s decision is no surprise: At age 37, he has already played far longer than most NFL linebackers, and this season has been a disappointment, with a torn triceps muscle causing him to miss 10 games.

"It just time, that's all.  I want to take at least one good stabbing arm into retirement," said the aging linebacker.

... there’s already speculation that he’ll line up a post-NFL job at ESPN.

"I'm willing to do what it takes to get on camera," Lewis threatened. On-air staff at The Worldwide Bleeder Leader were seen nervously checking over their shoulders.

He wanted to take one last stab at a playoff run before calling it quits.

And yes, he's an all-time great. But the Ray Lewis Humpfest on ESPN is almost unbearable.

Not at all surprising considering he'll be working for them.  Gonna need an extention for that studio table.  They're gonna need wide angle lenses at this point.
