Why didn't anyone ever tell me?  Jebus, the guy was amazing, tons of awesome songs.  Love that soul/r&b sound man.

Otis Redding was great, but I personally prefer the group work his backing band, Booker T. and the MGs.  But the whole Stax back catalogue is great, really.
