I heard on the radio early this morning that the Steelers WERE likely to match this offer.
When you think about how many 3rd round and lower picks don't work out, I can understand why. Hope they can extend him longer than one year too though.

OK, so here's our options.
1. Get a late R3, in a draft when there is a ton of talent in R2-R3 (especially ILB, WR, and S).
2. Sign Sanders for a year, then let him walk because we cannot extend him, then get a late-round 2015 comp for our efforts.
I'll take option 1 as the long-term solution.
