Otis'll be pulling for the Buccos tonight as we feature thee greatest canoodian catcher of all time.

So fucking jacked.  I know most here don't care for baseball but this is pretty effing special.

I'm thinking tonights starting lineup should read something like this:

1. Marte - LF
2. Walker - 2B
3. Cutch - CF
4. Morneau - 1B
5. Byrd - RF
6. Alvarez - 3B
7. Mercer - SS
8. Martin - C
9. Liriano - P

G. Jones or Tabata as pinch hitters depending upon the need (power vs. baserunners).  If I were a betting man, I think the Mercer and Martin will be flipped.  However, given Martin's ability to hit in the clutch, I really like him batting before the P spot.

Awesome.  Just awesome.  My brother was there, and I talked to him when he was on the bridge right after the game.

When I say I talked to him, I mean I called him, he answered, and I couldn't hear a word after that for all the noise.

Hopefully this issue is a non-starter because the Buccos take two in Pittsburgh, but who would you start in a possible game 5 in St. Louis?  Burnett is slated but Cole clearly had the better performance in St Louis...and would have had five days of rest...

Part of me thinks it's a no brainer, but I am also thinking Burnett could thrive when the pundits say he has no chance...

AJ's numbers, both career and this season, are terrible in St L.  I would go with Cole, but Hurdle seems loyal to a fault to his veterans (see Morneau, J., and Inge, B.).

And now hopefully it won't matter, provided Ground Chuck takes care of bidness tomorrow.

I gotta say, the timing of my sabbatical couldn't be better.  Won't miss a second of the postseason no matter what time the asshats at MLB put us at.
