Is this a good time to mention that the next time I have to go to work is September... 2014?

I'm on sabbatical, bishes!

Congrats!  What are your plans?

We are enjoying San Juan, PR for the next week.  Has been a blast thus far

No shit, we're cobbling last-minute anniversary plans for October and SJP is the likely destination.  Recommendations?

Also, Penso, I hate you.  I mean, more than usual.

We are staying at the Caribe Hilton, which is perfect if you are looking for a private beach, many different pools, swim up bar, and restaurants at the hotel.  The Condado area is next to us and there appear to be many nice hotels.

Just got back from Old San Juan.  Ate at a few places, saw a few places.  Let me know where you and the Mrs. are thinking as you get closer.  Direct flights out of BWI cheap.

I had been looking at flights out of BWI but discovered that MDT (10 miles from me) is as cheap or cheaper, oddly.

Looking at a few areas, Condado and the area you were at among them.  Saw a funky little place called Hotel Olive or something that Mrs. thought looked cool, but not beachside.  We don't mind walking and will probably hit Old San Juan for some walkabouts as well as doing some sort of tour.  Eating, drinking, hitting the beach.  She doesn't care much about shopping.  We're looking at late October, so I'm going to try to lock down some ideas soon and make rezzies.

I'm'a write.  Was invited to speak at a conference in Edinburgh in June, so that's my academic deadline.  Also enrolled in a writing workshop so I have deadlines on the creative side too.  Deadlines are crucial for me lest I sit in my chair and piss the time away looking at the FF waiver wire.
