I'm serial.  Tomlin should not survive this.

And not because of this game.  No, rather because it's the sos, year after year.  In this NFL where there's a gravity well of mediocrity, you need the coach to do more than pat guys on the butt and motivate.  The coach must be a tactician, he must manage game situations.  I'm not calling for a guy who fears risk, but you have to know how to bring it home and Tomlin simply doesn't.

Agree 100% - knee down twice, kick the FG and give them 5 secs with no TO.  seems pretty simple especially since it looked like that return dude was going to break one off all game.

Thing is, he does this all the time!!  He is the worst clock management coach I've ever seen.

Haha damn autocorrect.  I meant to say "Yeah, you don't want too many shots at the endzone."  Or to be able to work the middle of the field for that matter.

I would hope that someone asked him about that during the post game PC.

Apparently he defends the decision.

We really need to hire a special assistant for any clock management situations.  Some geek with spreadsheets of permutations and outcomes committed to memory Rain Man fashion.  Because Tomlin is horrible at this, and everybody knows it.

Yes, yes, yes.  Totally agree about finding someone to manage the clock.

But assuming we did.  We would have such and such managing the game, Haley and at times, Ben running the offense, Lebeau with the defense, and Tomlin doing exactly what?  Managing the roster, evaluating personel?  He surely brings no value add there...
