IMO, Mitchell is one of those guys who takes a few years to put it all together.  Showed signs of that last year.  The fact that the Steelers moved in that fast with a deal makes me think they either see something they're very excited about, or they suddenly and out of the blue got reckless on the first day of free agency.

I'd like to see a similar type prospect at CB signed, which is why Nolan Carroll is on my list, although looking over the NT FAs, and NT draft prospects, the options are slim and none (ironically).  Sort of... Raji... Nix... and maybe Carrethers?  So get used to year 2 of Mac.

Owens would be a solid option if he checks out medically.  Not a burner, but a solid TE, had the broken fib last year and ACL a few back.  Don't break the bank.

I'm fine with inking Will Allen and Greg Warren, assuming we're paying the usual vet min, S&H Green Stamps, a case of Iron City, and front row Bieber tickets.  Tell me about quality snapper(s)...  I was at the Steelers-Giants game when Warren got hurt and we lost because Silverback (!) took LS duties.  Seriously?  No one among the OL could LS?  FFS.

Woodley visiting Raiders today.  HA!

Not fer nuttin', but I would've thrown a conditional R7 at Miami for Jonathan Martin too.  Low risk, high reward.

Edit:  Owen Daniels would be decent receiving option, but I think he's on the wrong side of 30.  It would have to be for a dirt cheap deal and something tells me he's looking for that last score.  Probably sign a 3 year deal with one of the "obvious contenders."

I'm happier that we kept Wallace than I would have been sending a pick Miami's way, conditional or not.  But then, I don't see Martin's upside.

Agree WRT Owens.  He's a TE.  Patriots come to mind.

No hard feelings.  Lots of great memories, Ryan, and see you in the broadcast booth sooner than later.

Also:  TE/FB David Johnson signs with Chargers.  Does it matter?  Will Johnson seemed interchangeable.

It's impossible to quantify how much I loathe Manny Sanders.  I can't think of another Steeler in the last 20 years I disliked more.  Drop every important pass then catch a 5 yard out and dance for 10 minutes.

LOL, tell us how you really feel!

I don't know that I hate the guy, but there's a huge differential between expectation and actuality.  Of course, that could be said about a lot of guys.  Thought at the time that Sanders would be who AB is today and vice versa.
