Priority signing:  Worilds.

Sign for modest deals:  Dwyer, Cotchery, Velasco, Wallace, Woods, Hood, Warren.

Consider LSH if he is rehabbed.

Just curious, would Velasco be a high priority signing if he hadn't gone down with the late season knee (even in light of Pouncey)?  I really loved watching that guy block, probably moreso than MP himself.

I probably would make Velasco a high priority signing if not for the knee and the fact that Wallace was actually pretty decent.  Best scenario, we get them both back on the cheap...

I still argue that the line has looked better the few times MP played guard, even with Legursky at center. And Velasco > Legs, so all the better if you can make it work.

Still no fan of Hood, but can you do any better on the open market? Even if they could, WOULD they?

Al Woods can back up any DL position and looked pretty active in spot duty.  I'd consider him in place of Woods.

If I could keep Pouncey, Velasco, and Wallace, I would.

I know this thread was originally intended for Steeler FAs, but I figured I'd throw this info here instead of starting a whole new thread.

Rumors of Steelers kicking the tires on Alterraun Verner?  Solid, kinda underrated CB.  Even if remotely true, at least it shows they're looking to address that position.

Steelers also supposedly expressing interest in Jermichael Finley...?

Great receiving option, but again monies?

Don't see how they'd be able to compete with other teams that have more cap space in these moves.  Wishful thinking, I'm sure.

Talk of Manny Sanders to the Lions.  Detroit would just be better off drafting Evans to line up opposite CJ, IMO, but whatever.

In other player related news, Mendenhall spinning his way into early retirement.  Dat '08 draft class.  Worst.  Group.  Evah.
