Jay Gruden though, so we're still screwed on MNF.

Poor guy.

Compared to coaching the Skins and Browns, working for Jerruh would be a godsend.

Can't say I like any coaching change in cincy. I've enjoyed the failures of the Marvin Lewis era.

Picturing the scene in Snyder's office.

"Mr. Snyder, got an application from Jay Gruden."

Snyder:  "John Gruden.  Hell yeah send him a contract!"

"No sir, I said Jay Gruden."

Snyder:  "I know, I'm not an idiot.  He's huge on Monday Night Football!  Hottest name in coaching!"

Sir, it's...

"J, I know!  He just used his first initial.  J. Gruden.  He's interested in getting back in the game.  Now send him the damn contract before someone else does!"

"Umm, ok..."

(Next day)

"Mr. Snyder, Jay Gruden to see you.  He has his signed contract with him."

Snyder:  "who the hell is this?"

Almost certainly exactly the way it went down!  So was Jay helping the ginger in Cincy or was he a hindrance?  Careful what you wish for, RGIII.

This is all good - Skins hire Gruden, and Vikes hire Zimmer.  Have to think next year will be a bit shakier for Marv and Turnover Boy.

Zimmer especially should take the Bengals down a notch.  By all accounts, a good guy, too, so good luck in the NFCN.
