Also Will Allen re-signed to what is expected to be a minor deal.

Never thought they'd cut Pola as some suggested, glad to see they are making shorter-term deals with guys who can still play, and effecting some cap savings as well.

Now, waiting to see what shakes out with Worilds and Woodley, and if Ike reduces his cap hit (or gets cut).

Basically restructures more than extensions.  Nice move by them.  True "team players."

Be nice if Woodman and Taylor both take paycuts.

Speaking of linebackers, Browns latest headscratcher was cutting D'Qwell Jackson.  Singed almost immediately by the Colts to a modest deal (4YR/22MIL).  Great bang for the buck for one of the quieter, solid tackling machine ILBs out there.

Taylor almost certainly will:  alternately, he could be cut and look for a small-time deal with a new team (and a new scheme to learn, not Ike's favorite pastime).

Woodley may stare us down.  Ink's still fresh, relatively, and what's his incentive?  Steelers could cut him, and incur large swaths of dead money, either this year or (post-6/1) prorated over two; and he'd simply find another team willing to overpay him.  Even with the injuries, he would.  Arizona, for one.  That leaves Colbert to his tried and true MO, get Omar on the horn and pay off today's credit card bill on credit.  IMO, we'll almost certainly defer the pain by some restructure of salary to bonus, meaning we never quite clear our way out of cap hell dead money with Woodley and have to pray he returns to some semblance.

Many opine that DQ is a remnant of his former self, not an every down player, etc., a la Foote.  Still, better than Foote, some potential to play and contribute; curious to me that Indy has become to Cleveland what Arizona is to Pittsburgh, or recently, Pittsburgh was to Detroit.   Word is that Indy may soon be bringing in Tim Couch to man concessions, and Brandon Weeden is looking at retirement communities for when his Social Security checks start coming in, ca. 2015.

Guy was top 10 in tackles last year...on the Clowns.  Timmons like numbers.  I'd take that.

Just repeating what others have said.  I don't see any issues with him in playing him 2x per, or looking at the stats.  Age is headed the wrong way, but he's still bringing a high level of production.

AB restructured, $4M cleared.

Saints cutting Sproles (now 30), FWIW.  An interesting player.

Yeah Haley has to be having wet dreams about Sproles and Bell catching passes out of the backfield.

Hopefully they are about done restructuring at this point and additional savings are coming from straight cuts (whether pay cuts or roster cuts).

I think they have to extend Ben, get some 2014 relief.

I have no problem with that, obviously.  Bouchette seems to think they are in no rush to extend him, 18.9 cap hit this year is killer though.

I just can't see spending more than the vet min on a RB, especially one at or above the age of 30

Not worth a thread of its own, but worth noting:  Cody Wallace given a 3-year deal, details unknown, expect it to be a small deal.  As noted before, I really wanted the FO to try to retain Wallace and/or Velasco, both played rather well in relief.  IMO, Wallace was better in his brief stint than, say, Legursky, though I expect a similar kinda contract.  Wallace had some nasty to his game.

Ya think Munchak looked at his tape and chimed in?
