Per rotoworld:  Probably just depth move but I'm all fired up for extra picks now.

The Steelers could re-sign free agent C Fernando Velasco.
Velasco made 11 starts in place of Maurkice Pouncey last season, grading out as a top-25 center by Pro Football Focus. He hasn't drawn any interest from teams because he's still recovering from Achilles surgery. Velasco is Rotoworld's No. 2 remaining center in free agency.

No way.  No frickin' way.  No way is Jacksonville that dumb.

As we talked about in some other thread, they'd be pretty goddamned stupid to give up a R2 or a R3 for a center coming off injury.

Was going to post this.  I mentioned in some other thread that I thought re-signing Velasco with Pouncey and Wallace (didn't he just sign a 3 year deal?) would create too many interior only guys, considering the Steelers have carried only 8 OL on the 53.

Because of where JAX's 3rd is, I think a 3rd is reasonable this year, due to coming of the injury and the financial commitment they will need to make

I might be a bit twisted, but I really think we can get more than just a 3rd in this years draft

I've been saying this for a while, but...if Velasco and Pouncey are both on the roster, I'd play Pouncey at guard.

Gotta make a deal if it's at all possible, because that's about the only shot to get anything in return for Pouncey.

Trading another 1st rounder for anything less, is another gash on the Tombert shield.  Pouncey didnt get a chance to show his worth in a ZBS, i'd wait until MM got his hands on him too value his worth.  In no way I pay him LT money, regardless. Good to see some familiar names, i've had a busy few years.
