There Will be No Vick in Steelerland
Are you kidding me? Michael Vick a Steeler? It’s a laughable proposition. Allegorically speaking, it’ll be a cold day in hell before that happens.
According to Bloomberg.com, the betting site BetUs.com has the Steelers and Patriots as the most likely (4:1) candidates to vie for Vick’s services. I can believe the Patriots, it would fit with their modus operandi.
The Raiders, Cowboys and Ravens – none would surprise if they took a flyer on Vick.
But the Steelers? There’s only one team I can think of less likely to hire Vick: the Atlanta Falcons.
Just say no to the birdman
What if the President takes a keen interest in this situation, and calls in a favor from the embassador to Ireland?
There’s one scenario I didn’t consider. Maybe he’ll just invite Vick to the Whitehouse and award him with a trip to Ireland instead.
“Congratulations for not murdering any dogs lately, now have a trip to Ireland. Just stay away from the Steelers!”
